Half of the outer loop is a double-track old logging road. The
other half of the trail is single-track, and goes through forests and
an area that was logged recently, but isn't completely bereft of
trees. The trail passes very close to a cemetery on the outer
loop, and runs close to a gravel road at the back. The inner
loop is nested inside the outer loop. Overall the terrain is
gently rolling, with a few long but not overly steep hills to climb.
The trail is well marked and easy to follow. Any intersections
with the hiking only trails are signed. There is a monument on
the outer loop (pictures attached) to the old log school that
used to be located out on the trail. Nothing of the structure
remains.
