HTMPS goals and purpose

1- Work with Park and Trail officials to assist Horse trail riders and park officials around the United States by providing maps and reviews of trails.

-It can be difficult, expensive and sometimes impossible to find maps of parks or trails. And finding maps with GPS Locs or Tracks on them is very rare.  It is our goal to map Horse trails in the United States and provide users with a 1 stop place to find, download and share maps.

2- Make trails and parks safer for Horse trail riders and give experienced and new trail riders the confidence to ride safe by providing GPS way points, GPS tracks and matching maps that can be used in case of emergencies.

-More and more riders every day carry a GPS.  But almost no parks or trails provide maps with GPS locs or provide tracks of their trails.

-As more riders have maps the safer the trails will be. And if more of those maps provide locs less riders will become lost for long and officials during emergencies can easier find those lost parties if the lost party has a point of reference to give on the cell phone.

-By providing locs to interesting and important places on the trail we allow the first time rider of a park a larger measure of safety and greater chance of seeing the beauty of a park or trail they have never traveled.

3- To help preserve the ever dwindling trails that can be used by Horse riders in America.

-Trail riding on horses is as American as it gets. It is what helped explore and expand this country and is a huge part of our History.

-More and more trails around the United States are being closed to horses and their riders. It is our groups goal to aid groups who support keeping our countries trails open. And hope by helping keep trails mapped Park officials and government leaders will decide to preserve the Right to ride.
