The campground has sites for horse owners adjacent to riding trails.

Twenty four campsites are set aside for campers with horses. Utility hookups are available. For your convenience, a dump station and central service buildings with showers and rest rooms are offered. A pool sits inside the campground.

Dale Hollow Lake State Resort offers 15 miles of trails.

These are designated as multi-purpose trails, open for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking unless otherwise posted. No motorized uses are allowed. The trails generally follow old logging roads along narrow ridge tops through the park. Most of the trails end at the tips of these ridges which form peninsulas into Dale Hollow Lake , requiring a return trip on the same trail.

In the protected forestlands of Dale Hollow Lake Resort Park , wildlife become accustomed to people. Roadsides fill with deer from the largest whitetail herd in Kentucky . On the trails, see wild turkey, raccoons, foxes, otters, squirrels, migrating waterfowl and in winter, even bald eagles!

Horse Camping
Twenty-four campsites offer horse tie-ups and adjoin riding trails. You will seldom have such a choice of horse-riding trails. There is no riding concession inside the park. Open year-round;
